2005 Topps, Beau Jones
#UH326 Beau Jones
Here is a card that I got signed at a Northwest Arkansas Narutals game last season. Beau was plyaing for the Frisco Roughriders at the time and I was able to get him to sign this card from the Riders dugout before the game started.
So far, Beau's claim to fame is being the only player that the Rangers got in the Mark Teixeira trade that has not made it to the Major Leagues yet. But, he is looking to change that.
So far this season, Beau has spent time in AA and AAA. He started the season back in Frisco and he threw 6.1 scoreless innings before getting promoted to the Round Rock Express (I'm still not used to the Express being affiliated with the Rangers). In Round Rock, he has pitched 10.1 innings with a 2.61 ERA. He has 7 walks and 7 strikouts and batters are hitting .368 against him. This is Beau's first taste of AAA ball. He is only 24 years old, so he still has some time to develop.
Beau's signature is something else. I really don't know what to make of it. I can make out a "B" and that is about it. Overall, his signature looks like a rotated pound sign (#).
